It's official, I am now part of Team USA, and I am going to the World Championships in Gyor, Hungary! I was informed last night and of course I immediately accepted!
We'll probably leave around May 12 and spend a few days in London before heading over to Hungary The race is May 20 but I have to be there a few days early for athlete check in and, get this, the athlete parade of nations and opening ceremonies! How cool is that?? They say over 50 countries are represented. Wow. They are giving us some clothing but we have to buy our race kit and a few other things. It sounds like a lot of stuff, hopefully they'll give us a bag to put it all in! There's all kinds of "teamy" stuff going on too with dinners, official pre-rides of the course, etc.
