Waterfalls!
Did a gorgeous hike on Saturday at Silver Falls State Park, about 1.5 hrs southeast of Portland. The hike was great as there was a waterfall every 15 minutes. The trail followed a river for about 7 of the 9 miles, so there was always a nice place to stop, take a break, and just enjoy the day. Besides all the waterfalls, one other highlight of the hike was seeing a group of people hiking on the trail with their cat trailing behind - not even on a leash! The signs specifically said no dogs or horses, but I guess cats are ok?
